The postdoc project will focus on additive manufacturing of medications and encompasses the development of suitable excipients, drug formulation and development of additive manufacturing techniques. The research activities also include physicochemical characterization of the materials used as well as evaluation of the release profile of model compounds from the produced materials.
The project will be supervised by experienced researchers within the Division of Nanotechnology and Functional Materials. We offer a stimulating and multidisciplinary postdoc project in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacy at UU and the Children’s Hospital at the Academic Hospital in Uppsala.
Qualifications: We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a PhD degree in chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or materials science. Experience in additive manufacturing will be considered a strong merit. Other desirable qualifications include experience in drug formulation and in synthesis and characterization of small molecules, polymers and mesoporous materials. Ability to carry out research independently and very good knowledge in written and spoken English are required.
