The Department of Economics hosts research and teaching within the subjects business administration and economics. A unique feature of the Department is that great emphasis is placed on applied science, often in collaboration with natural science subjects at the university. High priority areas are: 1) economic conditions for land-based industries, 2) organisations and methods of working within the food industry, 3) agricultural policy, international trade and processing of agricultural products, 4) natural resource and environmental economics and 5) conditions for small businesses. The Department provides undergraduate degree courses mainly in agricultural economics and economics specialising in natural resource management, and runs a postgraduate programme. It also offers occasional courses for students in biology, engineering and economics and various Master’s programmes.
The subject area comprises business economics, specialising in financial accounting and control.

A maximum of 10 scientific publications and 10 pedagogic publications, including popular science articles, should be submitted in support of the application. In addition, a complete list of publications shall be supplied and the publications submitted with the application must be indicated.
It is desirable that the application is written in English, because the applications will be evaluated by expert advisers both in Sweden and abroad.
