The project will be based at NYU Abu Dhabi and will be co-supervised by Dr. Dipesh Chaudhury and Dr. Justin Blau.

The anticipated appointment is expected to start, preferably, on September 1, 2018, for a period of two years, with a possibility of extension.  The successful applicant will use a combination of molecular and electrophysiological approaches to investigate how gene expression contributes to the rhythms in excitability and plasticity of circadian clock neurons in rodents and fruit flies.

Applicants must have a Ph.D in Biology or Neuroscience related field with extensive experience in molecular biology. Excellent communication skills in English and a willingness to learn electrophysiological techniques will be considered as an asset.

The terms of employment include highly competitive salary, housing allowance, and other benefits. Applications are accepted immediately and candidates will be considered until the position is filled. To be considered, all applicants should apply online via Interfolio, and must submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, transcript of degree, a one-page summary of research accomplishments and interests, all in PDF format. To complete the online process, applicants will be prompted to enter the names and email addresses of two (2) referees. Each referee will be contacted to upload their reference letter.
