Presentation of the scientific field:
The computer science department of IMT Atlantique is recruiting a professor of computer science specialized in the field of Cybersecurity.
The computer science department of IMT-Atlantique is located in Brest. With about 60 people it contributes to the Lab-STICC (Laboratoire des Sciences et Techniques de l'Information, de la Communication et de la Connaissance, UMR CNRS 6285) research laboratory.
You will participate in the school's teaching, both disciplinary (introductory and/or specialization levels), as well as interdisciplinary as part of student projects or in connection with educational activities in companies (visits to companies, remote supervision of trainees).
By way of example, you might be required to work in common core units such as object design and programming, databases, GUI, graph algorithms, as well as in more specialized units, for example relating to security and the system, provided within the framework of our TAF (Themes of Deepening of Training) DCL (Collaborative Software Development) and ILSD (Software Engineering of Distributed Systems) or specialized Masters CYMAR (Cybersecurity of maritime and port systems) and ICD (Infrastructures Cloud and DevOps).
You will also be encouraged to develop an educational dynamic and take responsibility in the organization of educational activities, teaching units or projects, or even create new courses.
You will join one of the Lab-STICC teams which have activities related to Cybersecurity: IRIS, Maths & Net or P4S. You may be required to work on projects related to the Cyber Defense of Naval Systems chair, Cyber CNI chair (IMT Chair on Critical National Infrastructures led by IMT Atlantique Rennes), or Digital Twin (led by the Computer Science department), or to the IRL CROSSING laboratory (International laboratory located in Adelaide, South Australia supervised by IMT Atlantique).
For example, possible research themes include:
Key words: Cybersecurity, Network security, Computer security, Intrusion and attack detection, Data protection (quality, digital trust, etc.), Software protection, Design of complex systems with security in mind, AI and Cybersecurity, Application of Cybersecurity to the fields of maritime and port infrastructure protection, Industry 4.0, ships of the future.
You have solid skills in the field of cybersecurity that you are able to apply to maritime and port areas, the industry of the future, or even space.
As a faculty member, you will carry out the main missions of training, research and promotion in academic, industrial and international circles.
With your scientific skills, your experience in project management will allow you to develop and participate in collaborations with partners from the economic and academic world, at regional, national and international level. You will contribute to the development and influence of the school through high-level publications, a contractual dynamic and an active contribution to the life of IMT Atlantique.
Your significant experience in the design and supervision of teaching activities enables you to promote learning by confronting learners with multidisciplinary problems. You are particularly interested in the competency-based approach, innovative teaching devices, and the diversification of assessment methods. Your proficiency in English allows you to teach in this language.
Endowed with real dynamism, you know how to develop synergies and manage training and research projects in a multidisciplinary environment.
Sensitive to the challenges of sustainable development and social responsibility, you act ethically and responsibly and have demonstrated that these dimensions are taken into account in the projects you have carried out.
The position is based in the Computer Science department of the Brest campus. Travel in France and abroad is expected.
To support your motivation, you will be asked for an integration project for all of the proposed assignments.
