This position is based at the Translational Neuromodeling Unit (TNU), a division of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, a joint institution by ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. The TNU develops new methods and computational assays for individualised prognosis and treatment prediction in computational psychiatry/psychosomatics.
Together with partners from the Departments of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (D-ITET) and Health Sciences and Technology (D-HEST) at ETH as well as the University of Zurich, the TNU is establishing a new laboratory for Optically Pumped Magnetometers (OPM) for non-invasive measurements of human physiology in health and disease. A particular focus is on developing new methods for measuring brain activity in human patients, under patient-friendly conditions (e.g. free movements, VR) that limit or exclude the use of existing neuroimaging technologies.
The employment is initially on a fixed-term contract; a switch to a permanent position can be considered at a later point in time.
