Department of Machine Design is active in research and education within product realization. Specific areas are: Machine elements, Machine Design, Mechatronics and Embedded control systems, Internal Combustion Engines, Integrated product development,Innovation and Industrial Design.
The research center Integrated Transport Research Lab, ITRL, is a collaboration between KTH, Scania and Ericsson with aim to develop and demonstrate new sustainable transport. Read more about ITRL here: www.itrl.kth.se.
As a researcher in this position at ITRL, you will have two main tasks. The first task includes project management and interdisciplinary research in the ongoing project "Electric Roads and Emobility". And in the second task it is included to develop research in Emobility within the research program "Efficient Transport Concept".
You will work independently with your projects, and report directly to the Manager of the Centre.
The position is a full-time employment, positioned at ITRL at KTH Campus. For the right person there may be some possibilities to work in a lower extent, but at the minimum of 50%.
To qualify for the position, you have at least a licentiate degree or equivalent in a relevant area for the position. You have previous experience of project managing complex projects involving many parties. It is also an advantage if you have experience in research and development in the field of electro-mobility and electric roads, in terms of technology, organization, infrastructure or policy aspects (preferably a combination of all above).
As a person you are communicative (in both Swedish and English) and unafraid to make contact with new people, as you will interact with various stakeholders, both within and outside KTH.
